Tayu
Meditation Center
Santa
Rosa, California
(707)
829-9579 Email: tayu@sonic.net
Tayu
Meditation Center in Santa Rosa was founded in 1976 by Robert Daniel
Ennis. Ennis drew upon his Fourth Way work with E.J. Gold and teachers
from several other traditions to create a unique framework for Tayu
practice. Two meditative forms are central to Tayu practice:
Self-Observation and Co-Meditation. Self-Observation is practiced
“invisibly” in the midst of daily life, and facilitates
self-examination under circumstances far from the meditation cushion.
Co-Meditation is a two-person practice designed to focus meditative
attention upon another being, while simultaneously offering the
opportunity to observe one’s own manifestation while in relationship
with another. Self-Observation and Co-Meditation are complementary
techniques that facilitate a balanced approach to the liberation of the
mind, heart and body through non-clinging.
